HOW TO APPLY - TRANSFER STUDENTS (WHO WISH TO OBTAIN THEIR BACHELOR’S DEGREE AT CORVINUS)

Important Information

Decisions regarding transfer requests are made by the Transfer Decision Committee of the CBS. In order to transfer you must have completed at least two full semesters at your previous university and must have achieved at least 60 ECTS credits. Decision on the credits and courses transferred will depend on the extent to which your studies prior to your transfer fit into the curriculum of the program you wish to join.

In order to be eligible to apply as a transfer student, you must prove that you have achieved the following result in one of the exams below:

AP (Advanced Placement) in Mathematics (Calculus AB or BC): min. grade 3
SAT Mathematics Subject Test Level II.(DI Code: 7942): min. 680 points
ACT Test (Institutional Code: 7014): min. 27 points in the Mathematics part

The official and original document of the AP, SAT or ACT result must arrive at the ISP Office by June 15 each year. We accept the result for two years after the date the exam was taken.

Please note that in order to be eligible for a degree awarded by the Corvinus Business School of the Corvinus University of Budapest, you must achieve at least 67% of the program credits at Corvinus.

Application Requirements

Complete the application form (please do not forget to sign it).

When sending in your application form, please also enclose the following:

  • Notarized copy of your secondary school diploma and notarized translation of your secondary school diploma into English or Hungarian
    • If your secondary school diploma is issued by a non-EEA country, then you must submit the apostilled (or diplomatically legalized) version of your secondary school diploma. For detailed information on apostilles, please click here. If the country where your secondary school diploma originated is not a member of the Apostille Convention, your diploma must be diplomatically legalized by the foreign ministry of the country in which the document originated, and then by the Hungarian Consulate of your home country.
  • Filled-in Petition for the Acceptance of a Degree form if you have finished your secondary school studies in a country that has not signed the Lisbon agreement.
  • Copy of the photo-page of your passport
  • Curriculum Vitae/Resumé in English (name, place and date of birth, address, your studies until now, language knowledge, etc.)
  • Proof of payment of the 100 EUR application fee (non-refundable) - this should be paid by bank transfer
  • Original or notarized copy of
    • a valid (not older than 2 years) TOEFL iBT (min. 66 points) or IELTS (min. 6.0 overall band) certificate
    • OR any other English language certificate listed here
  • Original and official certificate (not older than two years) of one of the Mathematics exams below:

  • Official and original transcript from your present university (with courses you have taken and the grade you have achieved) (if this is not in English, you will need to supply an official notarized translation into English or Hungarian) and official information on the grading system if this is not shown on the transcript
  • Original and official (stamped by the university) description/syllabus (in English or Hungarian) of the courses you have studied at your present university
  • University Certificate for Transfer Students form officially signed and stamped by your present university stating that you are not under disciplinary action and are eligible to continue your studies
  • two passport photos 

It is the applicants’ responsibility to arrange and take the Mathematics test and the TOEFL iBT, IELTS test or any other English language proficiency test accepted by the ISP.

Deadline

The application materials must arrive at the ISP Office by June 15 each year.
