Admissions Process: Stage 1

Required Application Materials

Hungarian citizen applicants must apply through the central national admission center Országos Felsőoktatási Információs Központ (OFIK) and must apply as indicated in the hard copy application guide (Felsőoktatási felvételi tájékoztató) or on the official website of the admission center (www.felvi.hu).

Foreign citizen applicants must apply according to the below requirements. The admission process occurs in two stages: application and interview. If your application is accepted, you will be contacted to take the entry exams.

Please include the following in your application:


  1. Completed & signed application form
  2. Proof of completion (at least 180 ECTS credits) of previous bachelor and/or master studies in a related field*
    • If you are currently studying, then provide an official statement of expected graduation.
    • If you degree comes from a Non-EEA country, your diploma will need an apostille.
  3. Official transcript of grades from your related degree
  4. Completed Petition for the Acceptance of a Degree form 
  5. Completed Request for Credit Acceptance form if applicable**
  6. Letter of Motivation (1-2 pages)
    • Your letter should include why you want to study in the MSc in Marketing program and why you should be chosen for the program.
  7. Letter of recommendation from a former professor
  8. Proof of English language proficiency
  9. Copy of the photo-page of your passport or EU identification card
  10. Professsional curriculum vitae/resumé in English (Europass or similar)
  11. Passport-sized photo (not older than 6 months)
  12. Proof of payment of the 100 EUR application fee (non-refundable) - this should be paid by bank transfer
  13. GMAT score - if available (not obligatory, but highly welcome)

If your official documents are not in either English or Hungarian, an official notarized translation of the documents is required.

Which degrees are accepted?

* Applicants must hold at least a BA/BSc degree and will have completed a minimum of 180 ECTS credits upon graduation.

**BA/BSc/MSc degrees in the following fields are fully accepted: Commerce, Marketing, Management, International Business, Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management and/or Tourism. Applicants with a degree from any other field will either:

a) have taken a minimum of 15 ECTS credits in the following fields of study in their previous studies: 

  1. Methodology (calculus, statistics, informatics)
  2.  Theory of business and economics (micro- or macro economics, international economics, regional economics, economic development) 
  3. Business (business economics, finance, marketing, accounting, management, leadership, organizational behavior, human resources)


b) must complete one course from each of the above 3 fields during their first year of studies in the MSc in Marketing program in addition to the regular curriculum. The student is expected to bear the cost of these additional courses themselves.

In both cases (a & b) applicants must submit a Request for Credit Acceptance form and a Course Form for MSc in Marketing.

Application Period & Deadline

Applicants can submit their applications starting February 1st.

Application Deadline: April 30th

Only completed applications can be considered.

The admission process occurs in two stages: (1) application and (2) interview. If your application is accepted, then you will be contacted for an interview. Stipendium Hungaricum Applicants ONLY

IMPORTANT: Please do not apply to the ISP office if you have already chosen the program in the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship portal. You will only need to apply for the degree program through the scholarship portal. You will be expected to meet the same above requirements for the program, with the exception of the application fee (the application fee is not applicable for those receiving the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship).
