We suggest that you start looking around for a place to live in during the semester only once you are already here in Budapest (descriptions and pictures posted on the internet can be deceiving).

Long-term Accommodation

Due to the very limited number of dormitory spaces available, all students have to find their own accommodation. Renting a flat in the city ranges from about 400 to 600 EUR/month, depending on the size and location of the flat and on the number of students sharing it. We recommend that our students rent apartments together. Try to get in contact with someone who has already spent a semester in Budapest or contact one of the following estate agencies.

Students should be sure that the landlord or housing agency can provide all of the legal documents that will be required by the immigration office
