Corvinus Business School information leaflet

The Corvinus Business School provides education at undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and PhD level in the fields of Management, Marketing and Media, Finance and Accounting, Business Economics, Development for Enterprises, Management Science, Business Law, Information Science and Environmental Science. The Faculty is the biggest of the University with about 5000 students and 230 professors. The Faculty is known for its excellence of education for its faculty members, students and for its Hungarian and international academic programs. The Faculty offers a wide range of course portfolio in English and German involving most of the departments and covering all the specializations of the Faculty.


The Corvinus Business School is the centre for education and research in economics, financial management, management and organization, business, management sciences and management practice. The high quality of education offered by the Faculty is guaranteed by the fact that each subject is taught by lecturers who are specialists in the given science or discipline, equipped with the necessary academic and practical knowledge. Teaching is based on international experience, providing an appropriate balance of theoretical and practical knowledge. Students also have the opportunity to take up many of the subjects taught at the Faculty in foreign languages, English, German or French.

The Dean

Prof. Zita Zoltay Paprika is the Dean of the Corvinus Business School and is Chair of the Department of Decision Sciences. From 2000 to 2003 she was the director of the university's International Office, from 2007 to 2013 she was program director in the International Study Programs of the Faculty of Business Administration. Prof. Zoltay Paprika has comprehensive international experience in research (e.g. Decision Making and Competitiveness, Analysis and Intuition in Decision Making, The Role of Creativity), as well as teaching (she was a Fulbright research scholar at California State University, Sacramento), as well as teaching (e.g. Burgundy Business School, Pforzheim University, Wuhan University, etc.). Dean Zoltay Paprika is a member of numerous professional organizations (Multi Criteria Decision Making, International Federation on Information Processing, Academy of Management, European Foundation for Management Development, etc.)

International programmes run by the Corvinus Business School 

Our Faculty is very active in international co-operations:

  • We have been member of the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS) since 1996 enabling a group of Corvinus students to obtain, besides the Corvinus home degree, the CEMS Master in International Management.
  • In 2001 our University joined the PIM network (Partnership in Management) as recognition of our high-standard education in business.
  • By the Faculty’s PhD Programme, Corvinus University is member of the European Doctoral Programs Association in Management and Business Administration (EDAMBA).
  • We offer double degree programs with the University of Passau (Germany), the Dronten Professional Agricultural University (The Netherlands) and the Groupe ESSCA (Angers, France), where selected groups of students get the opportunity of obtaining  degrees both of Corvinus and the partner institution.
  • MIBP Peco is a multi-regional international program in Europe in which the "Visegrad Region" countries also participate.
  • The Deutschsprachiger Studiengang in Betriebswirtschaftslehre (DSG) offers a German language program in business economics in cooperation with the University of Passau.

Besides the above mentioned programmes the Faculty has developed relations in education, research and in joint publications with academics of partner institutions.
